It is a rather tall one. The cultivated area is obvious in the background.





It is taking a lot of sun and UV at nearly 2000m, but it still looks pretty good.





All of my specimens, old and new, decided to bloom in 2005.

color notes: Red lower midrib, maroon venation on underside of leaves joins to make a maroon margin, especially on younger leaves.

MY SPECIMEN

date planted: 18-07-04
number of rhizomes: 4 in one clump with leaves and all.
where planted: west end of entry across from lankesteri var.lankesteri
comment: Didn't miss a beat, and kept growing strongly. Others I had brought home as rhizomes in years past never recovered though they haven't died, either.
